Welcome Cory, Caution finding gold is VERY addictive , but with that said it is also a ton of work , lots of hiking , packing sluices buckets shovels hoses engines , and after that when you see that buttery looking gold in your pan and show it to friends and family it is going to bring smiles to everyone's faces 🙂 When I got started 5 years ago I did tons of watching you tube videos then started joining forums like this one and the biggest reason was that I didn't want to just use the same stuff that everyone has been using for years I really wanted to find the newest and best methods of getting the most out of all the hard work, with Gold hog a person can change up your sluice box every 6 inches to maximize your chances of having just the right capture area that the gold wants to settle in and stay , try and keep it small at first start with a gold pan and a shovel then if your in a good area purchase Sluice box and a 1/2 inch bucket classifier
This is my first post on this site. I hope I am not violating any of the rules. 🙏
I am putting all my things in order over the next 60 days. This includes making a some purchases. First, I will purchase the 2018 version of the Raptor. Next, the pump and hoses to run a 2 inch dredge into the Raptor. The third major purchase will be a pop-up camper see example Fleetwood E-3 model.
when all this has been accomplished, I am going on several road trips.
I say all this to show the serious intent of enjoying this “hobby - retirement” play time. I am 👀 for a partner to enjoy the fun, work, joys and yes expenses with me. If you can get a “kitchen pass” (permission slip) to take off for a undetermined length of time, we should chat.
